President Chan Santokhi’s recent visit to the Academic Hospital Paramaribo (AZP) underscores the urgency of healthcare reforms. Despite previous concerns about issues, Minister Ramadhin reports that the progress of ongoing projects is encouraging and that payments are made on time, even though there are occasional delays.
The emphasis on Emergency Services and maternal and child care highlights the government’s focus on the most pressing needs within the healthcare sector.
